Devra Speregen is a well known children;s book author. She has written over 200 books on a variety of topics and held a variety of positions at various organizations. Speregen previously held a place on the Nassau-Suffolk Region Youth Commission Board of Directors, and eventually became the chair. She was also the former chapter president for the Hadassah Organization. Between 2011 and 2015 Devra taught a variety of courses for continuing education programs at Hofstra University.
