Bilbo Baggins Goes to College? Well, sort of. How about, Ralph Phillips goes to Wizard's College? Ralph, you see, is a struggling young Hollywood screenwriter. He gets hired by an Elf Wizard by the name of Mr. Escutcheon from a Dimension of Dragons, Magic and Mayhem. Ralph has to write a screenplay for a movie for Mr. Escutcheon's University that will make a killing at the American box office and fill the University's coffers with much needed gold. Idea: make a fantasy movie in the Fantasy Dimension. Reason: cheap special effects, because all the magic will be real! However, Ralph hadn't counted on teaming up with a beautiful warrior and a hairy growly thief. And he certainly didn't know anything about the Evil Wizards who wanted to stop him!

Bischoff takes on Philip K. Dick territory, with the story of a high school student who discovers his whole world is a sham ... high school, teachers, friends, and universe--none of them are what they seem. Mix in liberal doses of aliens, alienation, teen rebellion, stir in paranoid delusions, and you get a frothy mix that would have made Phil Dick himself proud!

While answering a distress call from a scientific station in a remote part of the galaxy, the U.S.S. Enterprise becomes infected with a mysterious alien life form which feeds on and transforms inorganic materials. The Starship begins to gradually disintegrate, and Starfleet is forced to order its evacuation and destruction to prevent the dangerous infection from spreading throughout the galaxy. It's the end of an era for Captain Picard and his crew, who are scheduled for transfers that will split them up among different Starfleet vessels.
