Dr. Daniel L. Araoz received his Ed.D. from Columbia University in 1969. He is a licensed psychologist and a Senior Professor at the School of Education at Long Island University. He has written 12 published books, including "The New Hypnosis in Sex Therapy," and “Sexual Joy through Self-Hypnosis."

In the Spring of 1994, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM-IV) was finally published.
