Concerto in A Major, H 437-39, Wq 168, 172, 69
This is the first publication of C.P.E. Bach's Concerto in A-major for Flute (Wotquenne Cat. No. 168), for Violoncello (W. 172) and for Harpsichord (W. 29). To date only the Cello Concerto had been available in print (ed. F. Pollain, Editions Salabert, Paris, date of publication unknown), but this edition shows incisive alterations by the editor. The present edition is based on the sets of manuscript parts of the several concertos in the possession of the library of the Brussels conservatorium.- p. [iii].

The first complete English translation of C.P.E. Bach's instruction book, incorporating all of Bach's alterations, additions, and footnotes into the main text. The incorporations are identified in the editor's notes.
