Alfred Victor, Comte de Vigny (French pronunciation: [alfʁɛd viktɔʁ kɔ̃t də viɲi]; 27 March 1797 – 17 September 1863) was a French poet and an early French Romanticist. He also produced novels, plays, and translations of Shakespeare.

Thomas Chatterton (20 November 1752 – 24 August 1770) was an English poet and forger of pseudo-medieval poetry. He committed suicide, dying of arsenic poisoning.
